Martini – Lounge & Fine Dine

Aliganj

A new destination in Lucknow to chill out and relax.

Lucknowites get a new destination to chill out and relax. Located in Kapoorthala, Aliganj right next to Aryans and in the same building where Kareem’s is located. This outlet is located at two levels – on the third floor and rooftop on 4th floor.

The 3rd floor level is a non smoking area with high rise plush seating arrangements in shades of reddish blue. Dark Royal Blue, Blue and Dark Chocolate Brown are the colours used in the theme. The fabric on the seats (head rest area) is encrusted with small artificial gems, all these give the whole place a royal but relaxed atmosphere.

This level can be broadly divided in 3 parts – A small dance floor on the left side, a well stocked bar in the centre and the seating area to the right.

The rooftop has a nice garden café feel to it, just the ideal space for spending those beautiful evenings with friends and family.

The rooftop

They have a decent bar menu- a good selection of alcoholic drinks including Indian and International wines, cocktails (including the regular favourites like Pina Colada, Screw Driver, Sex on the Beach etc.), mocktails, along with 16 flavours in Hookah including interesting flavour like Paan Raas  etc.

The food menu is also interesting. They have Chinese, Thai, Indian and Italian (regular Pastas and Pizzas) dishes on the menu; multiple options in starters and a decent dessert menu.

We (two adults and a kid) visited this outlet for a quick bite – not exactly a multi course traditional Lunch but yes something filling. We started with mocktails – my favourite Virgin Pina Colada (I love the smooth flavours of coconut along with the tangy sweetness of Pineapple) and Fruit Punch. (Rating 4 out of 5).

Hot and Sour Soup with lots of vegetables, mushroom and Tofu just tingled our taste buds. (Rating 3.5 out of 5).

Chicken Razali Tikka was a nice starter, not too spicy nor too bland, just right. (Rating 3.5 out of 5), Hara Bhara Kabab would be a nice option as starter for vegetarians, slightly crunchy on the outside and soft with mild sweetness on the inside. (Rating 2.75 out of 5)

Vegetable Club Sandwiches were served with French Fries, the presentation was good, the outlet has not done much experimentation here; they have stuck to the regular popular recipe, which is not bad. (Rating 2.75 out of 5)

The Chilly Chicken Pizza and the Vegetable Surprise Pizza was of a decent size, and with lots and lots of cheese. I would have loved if it was loaded with more toppings though. (Rating 3 out of 5)

Creamy cheese Pasta served with Garlic Bread looked really tempting. (Rating 3 out of 5).

Chongqing (Chicken with Sesame Seeds), Thingming Mushroom, Thai Style Chilly Prawn (Rating 3 out of 5)all were interesting though slightly on a very high spice quotient (this is according to my taste buds, people who love extra spices might not have any issues).

Our overall experience was decent.

At present people might find parking at peak hours an issue. But this would be soon resolved, proper parking area (right in front) is being planned which would soon ease out the parking issues.

This joint has a potential of becoming a hot favourite with the Lounge Loving crowd of Lucknow.

Rating :

Ambiance –   On the 1st level on 3rd floor – 3.5 out 5

On the 2nd level on roof top (4th floor) – 4.5 out of 5

Location – 4 out of 5

Food & Beverages – 3 out of 5

Overall Experience – 3.5
